Knowing when to stay silent can help you a great deal in many circumstances. Being an excellent communicator counts in your favor, when you give another person an opportunity to pour their heart out and self-discover the answers to their own dilemma.
Have you ever met with a friend who just needed a kind ear to vent, a sounding board, or just needed your physical presence to get to the heart of the matter?
Those are favorite moments for me. Especially when you have the pleasure and honor of watching the idea light bulbs go off, and the “Ahas” get said, and the preverbal “ you are a genius” accolades are given to you.
